My iPod touch 3g has been acting up months soon after I got it. But bc I detest the believed of obtaining to lose songs, restart specific apps and losing so much info…I been lagging on taking it in.
It refuses to sync. It requires up to an HOUR!!! js to get it to sync. Often even longer that it frustrates me so considerably and I give up. I instead not update it at all. It keeps saying that the Apple Mobile device failed, or the sync solutions. It starts songs half way. Or wont play them often. I have also noticed that my laptop recognizes my iPod Touch as a digital camera, or an iPhone. WTF?
It wont charge it, even with a wall outlet charger for iPod Touch…it takes a number of tries to get it to charge. And at times it wont hold the charge. My iPod appears practically new, no scratches nothing at all. Never ever been dropped. Ive had it with this nonsense of it. I have gone on-line and searched attainable techniques of repairing it with no acquiring to take it to Greatest Acquire and risk loosing my data.

Thanks to those who responded, forget to add software program detail. I have updated the software package for iPod touch and updated to the newest version iTunes. I have reset my ipod many times, I have also completed it by itself (through holding down the buttons) and also by way of iTunes.

Well, I am sorry none of my other ideas worked. Attempt resetting it a single far more time, then back up the device and take to to the apple keep. Sorry

There really isnt much you can do basically it is a software error that is fixed in the newer software versions like 4.0.2 and 4.0.1 so you need to update it i suggest syncing it even though it takes forever, and then doing a restore and update.
